j Mohammed Khaliel (Founder Of Islamix) is an:Associate Director of the Mental Health NHS Trust, a Governor of SWR School, ex-School Governor Holmer Green School, High Crest, chair of the National IAG police committe, a member of numerous national organisations and a prospective parliamentary candidate at the 2005 general election. He has been a Non-Executive Director of The Housing Association, Associate Director South Bucks NHS trust, Governor of Hatters Lane School & Holmer Green school and Member of the Racial Equality Council. Dr Robert Lambert BA Hons (Open), MA (Birkbeck). Robert is working on an ESRC funded research project Cultures of Repression: the Legacy of Colonial Violence and State Repression in the Maghreb, and its Effect on North African Diasporas in Europe. In September 2008 he commenced work as a lecturer in e-learning terrorism studies at the Centre for Studies in Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) at the University of St Andrews. He is currently writing Countering al-Qaida Propaganda and Recruitment in London: An Insider’s Interpretive Case Study. Robert is consultant for an AHRC funded research project An Examination of Partnership Approaches to Challenging Religiously-Endorsed Violence involving Muslim Groups and Police headed by Dr. Basia Spalek, Senior Lecturer in Criminology & Criminal Justice, University of Birmingham and Dr. Salwa El-Awa, Lecturer in Islamic Studies, Theology Department, University of Birmingham. He is a member of the EC Expert Panel on Radicalisation.Prior to retiring from the Metropolitan Police in 2007 Robert was co-founder and head of the Muslim Contact Unit (MCU).
Dr Jonathan Githens-Mazer PhD is a Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Exeter co-Director of the European Muslim Research Centre.  He received his PhD in 2005 at the LSE, where his thesis examined the role of myths, memories and symbols in the radicalisation of Irish nationalism immediately after the 1916 Easter Rising (Myths and Memories of the Easter Rising Dublin: Irish Academic Press, 2006). More recently, Githens-Mazer is acting as Principal Investigator on two ESRC funded grants examining the role of myths and symbols of colonial violence in the radicalisation of North Africans living in Europe, and is leading several projects on violet radicalisation, including studies on urban violent radicalisation, the role of returning jihadis in counter-radicalisation, and Muslim community perspectives on counter-terrorist strategies. He has regularly appeared in the Guardian newspaper and on the BBC, and acted as consultant on violent radicalisation to several Government departments as well as advising on community based counter-radicalisation projects.
Kevin McGrath BSc (Chairman) is Managing Director of F&C REIT Asset Management, an investment management company with a portfolio of over £8.5 billion and with offices in London, Dublin, Munich, Stockholm, and Mumbai. Kevin is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Investment Property Forum, the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and is a Freeman of the City of London. Kevin was a candidate for the European Parliament 2009 elections, a candidate for North East Hampshire constituency at the 2005 General Election and for Ealing in the 2006 London Council Elections. j Dr Phyllis Starkey MP is the Labour Member of Parliament for Milton Keynes South West. Before entering Parliament, Dr Starkey had a double career as a distinguished research scientist and as a politician in both local and national politics. Dr Starkey qualified as a biochemist and followed a career in medical research, leading her own research group in Oxford. She won a seat on Oxford City Council, and was Chair of Finance for six years. From 1993-7, she was the National Chair of the Local Government Information Unit, which represents over 120 Councils.Between 1999-2001 Dr Starkey was a member of the Modernisation of the House of Commons Select Committee. In 2002 she became PPS to Denis MacShane, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. In 2005, Dr. Starkey was made Chair of the Select Committee for Communities and Local Government - a post she still holds.
